INTERSECTIONALITY IN FEMINISM TRAINING FORUM

Date: 06/09/2021

CRAWN Trust, under the WVL project, has convened a training forum on the intersectionality of feminism. This training is aimed at equipping WROs with capacity to be more responsive to the needs of women and girls. This is in cognizance of the fact that women and girls are heterogenous, with various needs and priorities.

This training will be livestreamed on CRAWN Trust YouTube and Facebook accounts of the full day "Intersectionality of feminism" training forum happening on Wednesday the 9th of June 2021 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The objectives of the training are to;

1. Deepen the understanding of the intersectionality of feminism and transformative feminist leadership.
2. Build the capacity of WROs to effectively engage in intersectional feminism and ensure that every concern is given due consideration in planning and engagements.
3. Build a platform for local and national women’s organizations, movements and WVL program partners that collectively organize for change using intersectional feminism.
4. Build the capacity of WROs to meaningfully participate in and benefit from critical conversations to influence change for women and girls in Kenya.

The training will enhance their capacity to effectively engage in the advancement/protection of women's and girls' rights, and achievement of gender equality.
